Passes x Michigan Football
As part of a small team of student designers, I helped develop branding for Passes’ collaboration with University of Michigan Football, specifically working with Defensive Back Jacob Oden.
Iteration 1
I started sketching graphics using Jacob’s name, but after our first meeting with him and the Passes team, he shared that he preferred a brand focused on personal elements beyond just his name. I then designed a second iteration using themes of football and the number 5, Jacob’s number.
Iteration 2
At our third meeting with Passes, I was happy to hear that they liked my design. At the same time, our team as a whole was given feedback to simplify our designs so they could be easily vectored and applied across various types of merchandise.
Iteration 3
In my third iteration, I explored the symbolism of the number 5 by incorporating angel number 555 and the Roman numeral V to convey strength and power in a clean, minimal design.
