My creative journey began with exploring environmental themes in fine art, eventually expanding into fashion, a medium that has always inspired me. In 2024, I started designing graphics of birds and wildlife, blending my love for nature with urban aesthetics.
To bring these designs to life, I explored apparel printing methods like direct to garment and print on demand, leading to the launch of VinNY Label in June 2024, where environmental awareness meets creative expression.
North American bird populations have declined by three billion in the past 50 years. As vital parts of our ecosystems, birds need advocates more than ever. VinNY is a New York-based brand built on the belief that streetwear can connect us to nature. Its bold, nature inspired graphics use vivid colors and rhythmic patterns to spark change. Ten percent of profits support groups protecting urban bird and wildlife habitats, including the NYC Bird Alliance. Being part of urban life doesn’t mean being apart from nature. Much of my bird-related work, along with VinNY’s graphics, draws inspiration from Audubon’s intricate illustrations of birds in their natural habitats. By leaving these settings behind and arranging the birds in symmetrical, geometric patterns on VinNY shirts, I aim to highlight their vital role in our ecosystems and celebrate their beauty as symbols of freedom and self expression.
