Lucy: Håb og Drømme
Branding & Visual Identity
Copenhagen, DK
"For us, aesthetics are not about explaining our music, but about extending it. We are drawn to emotions such as alienation and longing, and how they can exist alongside hope and beauty. The visuals should feel fragmented, sensory, allowing audiences to step into the universe themselves and find their own meaning" - LUCY (Visual Brief)
Designed during my semester in Copenhagen, Håb og Drømme is a visual identity for the Danish band LUCY. Centered on the album’s vinyl covers, the identity uses bold typography, cinematic compositions, and classic urban Danish imagery to reflect the band’s atmospheric sound through high contrast color and texture.
Visual System
The color palette balances warm, glowing tones with deep, cool hues to create contrast and an atmospheric mood. Neue Haas Grotesk Display Pro handles subtext, while Helvetica Neue Condensed Bold is used for headers and the logo, which was designed to feel bold, direct, and reflective of LUCY’s humble yet emotional identity.
The front cover uses high contrast warm and cool colors, deep values, and subtle texture to create a bold, immersive mood, while its dynamic composition adds energy and impact. The inside insert draws on the cover’s neon glow, presenting all nine songs in order with a cohesive, vibrant feel. The back cover uses a restrained palette, softer values, and minimal texture, with thoughtful spacing creating a clean, readable layout.

Single Cover & More
I designed a separate cover for Forstadsshow (Suburban Show) as a single, carrying over the colors and textures of the main album while introducing new motifs of fire and the suburbs. The Spotify album artwork builds on the same visual language, using the established motifs and color palette while removing the logo to create a more immersive sense of space and atmosphere.
